1. James W. Bryant, Sr. and James T. Collie Scholarship - Open
applications for Pittsylvania County Public Schools graduates, preferably
students pursuing the fields of education or nursing. (P)
2. Bernard C. Calvert Scholarship - Open applications
for Tunstall High School graduates, preferably students who attended either
Brosville or Stony Mill Schools. (P)
3. John Watson Daniel Scholarship - Open applications
for graduates in Danville, Pittsylvania or Caswell County. Eligible students
who are descendants of employees or retirees of John W. Daniel Construction
Co. may receive priority consideration. (D) (P)

4. Danville Academic Boosters Scholarship - Students
do not apply directly. Awarded to the top five graduates of Danville Public
Schools as provided by the School System. (D)
5. Danville Regional Medical Center Auxiliary/Volunteers Scholarship
- Danville Regional Medical Center employees and volunteers and
their immediate families (current spouses, children, step-children or
grandchildren), who are studying in a medical field.
6. John R. and Betty B. Eggleston Scholarship - Students
do not apply directly - guidance departments of each school should nominate
one or two qualified students. For graduates in Danville, Pittsylvania
or Caswell County. (D) (P) (C)
7. Margaret Spruce Floyd Scholarship - Students do not
apply directly - guidance departments of each school should nominate one
or two qualified students. For female graduates of public and private
schools in Pittsylvania County. (P)
8. Ray M. Harris Scholarship - Open applications for
graduates of public and private schools in Danville or Pittsylvania County,
with a preference for Pittsylvania County students. For undergraduate
or graduate study. (D) (P)
9. Stuart Harris Drama Scholarship - Students do not
apply directly - guidance departments of Danville Public Schools should
nominate one or two outstanding drama students. (D)
10. John L. Hurt, Jr. Scholarship - Open applications
for Gretna High School graduates, with a preference for those who attended
the John L. Hurt, Jr. Elementary School. (P)
11. Main Street United Methodist Church Scholarship -
Open applications for local seminary students, with a preference for United
Methodist applicants. (D) (P) (C)
12. Onnie H. & Bertie W. Milloway Scholarship - Students
do not apply directly. Averett University recommends local students with
a financial need. (D) (P) (C)
13. Patrick H. Musick Memorial Scholarship - Students
do not apply directly. Averett University recommends deserving students,
with a preference for academically qualified students who have a tennis-playing
background. (D) (P) (C)
14. Arnold B. Porter & Elizabeth J. Porter Scholarship
- Open applications for students who are members of Fairview United Methodist
Church who demonstrate a reasonable need for financial aid.
15. Irene L. Pritchett Memorial Scholarship - Students
do not apply directly - guidance departments should nominate qualified
black graduates from the City of Danville, Pittsylvania County or the
Children's Home of Virginia. (D) (P)
16. Alger Pugh Memorial Scholarship - Open applications
for GW High School athletes, with a preference given to GW football players.

17. Riddle-Francis Scholarship - Open applications for
Pittsylvania County Public School graduates, with a preference for Tunstall
and Dan River High School students. (P)
18. Percy and Velna Scearce Scholarship - Open applications
for graduates in Danville, Pittsylvania or Caswell County, who actively
support their religious convictions, are merited and have financial need.
Available for undergraduate or graduate study. (D) (P)

19. Spiros Skenderis Memorial Scholarship - Students do not apply directly.
The guidance departments of Danville and Pittsylvania County Public Schools
may nominate one or two students who have overcome a hardship. (D) (P)
20. Eileen and Joseph Stendig Scholarship - Students
do not apply directly. The guidance department of Danville Public Schools
may nominate one or two deserving students with a financial need. (D)
21. Louise P. Surles Scholarship - Students do not apply
directly. The guidance department of each school should nominate one or
two students attending the University of Virginia. (D)
