Another new endowment fund has been established with The Community Foundation of the Dan River Region. The Pat & Cathy Daly Family Fund was given by the Dalys to support youth enrichment in the area. Advisers to the fund will include their six children, ages 17 – 28.

The Fund will support charitable organizations including, but not limited to, the Boys and Girls Club, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, DCC Educational Foundation, Danville Cancer Association and the Alger Pugh Scholarship Fund.

“We are very pleased to accept these funds on behalf of Pat and Cathy Daly,” said H. Victor Millner, Jr., president of The Community Foundation. “What an honor it will be to assist their entire family in their future charitable giving.”

The Community Foundation of the Dan River Region is a public charity with total assets exceeding $12 million. Over 650 community foundations exist in the United States, with 23 in Virginia.
