For the second quarter of 2026 the Community Foundation of the Dan River Region distributed $675,190 throughout its service area. The disbursement, which was made possible thanks to the funds created by donors, was approved by the Board of Directors during their quarterly board meeting Monday, June 15.
On June 4, The Foundation awarded 181 scholarships totaling $412,490 to 165 students from the Dan River Region during its annual scholarship reception in Chatham.
In addition to scholarships being awarded, the following funds paid out in the second quarter.
