Tomlinson Named Donor Services Manager

The Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Emily Tomlinson has joined our staff as Donor Services Manager. In this role she will be coordinating donor communication, helping current and prospective donors develop their charitable giving goals and assisting with special events and projects.

Emily has a long history of working for, and volunteering with, non-profits in the Danville area. Previously, she worked in marketing and communications at Averett University and Smart Beginnings Danville Pittsylvania (now the Center for Early Success). While at Averett she also received her master of business administration degree.

Almost a native, Emily moved to Dry Fork with her family in the second grade and graduated from George Washington High School. After receiving her bachelor’s degree from Carson-Newman College, she returned to Danville where she interned at EVINCE with Emyl Jenkins before taking a job with the Danville Register & Bee.

Emily is a small business owner in downtown Danville, co-owning Me’s burgers & brews since 2015. The restaurant is being managed by her husband, Rod, while she works with us to help our donors achieve their goals and make a difference in the Dan River Region.
