Foundation Forms New Community Partnership

Architectural rendering of modern memorial structure design

Last month, the Pittsylvania County Public Safety Memorial Committee approached The Foundation about forming a partnership. As part of the agreement, The Foundation will receive and account for fundraising contributions to benefit, now and in the future, the Pittsylvania County Public Safety Memorial, which will be built on Main Street in Chatham. The memorial will honor any first responder identified as a fireman, rescue member or telecommunicator who was killed in the line of duty or who died while performing their respective duties in the service of Pittsylvania County.

Following the completion of the memorial, the committee plans to create an endowed fund to provide support for the ongoing maintenance of the memorial.

Gifts to the fund may be made online by clicking here or checks may be mailed to The Foundation’s office (checks should be made out to CFDRR with PC Public Safety Memorial in the memo line) at 541 Loyal Street, Danville, VA 24541.
