Donor Advised Funds

Donor-advised funds are the most complex type of fund the Foundation administers. A Donor-advised fund allows a donor to recommend specific charitable projects or organizations they want to support; however, the Foundation is charged with the final responsibility and authority over distributions.

Torrey and Shelley Blackwell Fund (‘19)

To support a variety of charitable organizations as they may advise from year to year.

Gary A. and Sherry M. Carroll “Good For Youth” Fund (‘07)

To support and encourage positive youth development.

Christian Charities Fund (‘08)

To provide grants to area charitable organizations that operate with Christian principles and a Biblical basis.

Collins ‘Great Outdoors’ Fund (‘14)

To provide grants to charitable organizations to promote outdoor activities through improvements, enhancements, and beautification. Special consideration will be given to nature trails/environments, parks (including dog parks), bird habitats, and outdoor music events in the Danville and Pittsylvania Caswell County and Goldsboro/Wayne County North Carolina areas.

P. Niles and Carol Daly, Jr. Fund (‘98)

To help meet a variety of public, educational, and charitable needs.

Pat and Cathy Daly Family Fund (‘04)

To support youth enrichment.

Philip and Frances Daly Fund (‘98)

Gamewood Technology Fund (‘97)

For programs utilizing information technologies for the improvement of the lives of children, the elderly, and persons with illness and disabilities as well as meeting a variety of charitable needs.

Holland Fund (‘99)

To meet a variety of public, educational, and charitable needs.

Larry Donald Huskey Memorial Fund (‘09)

To provide grants to charities which support the mentally ill or disadvantaged.

Alexander Heath Light & Mary Nelson Light Mission Fund (‘05)

To provide community outreach for Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Chatham.

Helen and Webb Maddux Fund (‘17)

To help meet a variety of charitable needs in Danville.

Herman and Helen Melton Historical Fund (‘03)

To support historical research and preservation in the Pittsylvania County area.
