Philanthropy: the practice of promoting human welfare through generous giving of time, talent, or money to improve the well-being of others and society. It stems from the Greek “love of humanity.” Our donors are dedicated to providing support for those in need and creating life-changing opportunities in the Dan River Region.
Patrick and Cathy Daly recently created two new endowed funds at The Foundation. The Cathy Daly Duke ALS Fund is a designated fund to benefit the Duke ALS Clinic in Durham, NC. When ALS is cured, the fund will then benefit Duke University Hospital Pediatric Cancer Research Fund. They also created the Victory Junction Mack Raymer Getaway Fund, which is a designated fund for the benefit of scholarships for children from North Carolina or Virginia who attend the Victory Junction Gang Camp Inc.
We thank the Dalys for their generosity. We are humbled to be chosen as the steward of their philanthropic goals.
