Thanks to their generosity, the Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History received a 2024 Competitive Cycle Grant to provide theme-based activities that enhance historical awareness of Black History in the Danville community. Funds provided by the Danville Regional Foundation Fund. The Museum’s latest exhibit, Black Culture: Past, Present, and Future, is now on display through March 9th. Thanks to their generosity, Chatham First received a 2024 Competitive Cycle Grant to pave the walking trail in Frances Hurt Park from Pittsylvania Historical Society Building to Community Foundation Trail Bridge, replacing current mulch and stone. Danville Neighborhood Development Corporation also received a grant to help property owners address deferred maintenance, make capital improvements, and improve the curb appeal of their home. Thanks to their generosity, The Salvation Army of Danville, Virginia received a 2024 Competitive Cycle Grant to support the Family Services Program, which provides financial assistance for rent and utilities, food baskets and emergency temporary shelter for those suffering due to economic hardships.
